I travelled with Etihad Airways from Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow on June 15, 2019. Earlier I booked for an economy and then I upgraded it to Business class. I am a loyalty member and I have travelled with Etihad in Economy class a couple of times before. In Economy class, I usually liked the service and support from the cabin crew. Since I have had a positive experience from Etihad in Economy class, my expectations from the crew in Business class was high. But I was hugely disappointed with the cabin crew. The first flight from Chennai to Abu Dhabi was fine, but I had a horrible experience with my connecting flight from Abu Dhabi to London. I had a special meal request (Hindu meal), so I was served one. I requested the cabin crew for a cake which was part of the menu and there was a harsh reply from them, that they dont serve it for special meals. Its ok that they dont serve it along with special meals, but it was harsh the way they informed me. I was expecting a way more patient and friendly way of conveying. I am paying for the travel and its not what I got it for free, and I paid for the service what you guys provide to make my travel feel comfortable. I was planning to have another travel with Etihad this year end, but I would strongly give a double think before I travel again with Etihad. Your crew members should be taught to behave well with customers, be it Economy/Business/First class. I did notice the harsh behaviour once again when I had to order my drinks. This is not what I had expected !!
I noticed the stewardess was way more polite to other passengers on board, so it made me wonder if her harsh behaviour was related to my Indian origin !!
