Cancelled flight after 1am. No notice. Did not mention reason until next day. Did not accommodate for lost hotels and rented cars. Got a note back from Delta corporate a month later saying “sorry bad weather”. They went on to say they would provide a 50 dollar gift card or something. They never did. Terrible service.

I’m standardizing on Southwest now. Delta made that decision easy.

Flying is all about how you prepare. Delta flight attendants are always friendly and attentive. Yes, the seats in economy are a little close, but were more than adequate. The entertainment system and selection was sufficient as well. Because this was an international flight, alcohol was free. Was nice to be able to have a glass of wine with a meal. The meals were surprisingly good given that it was airline food. They offered snacks between meals as well. If you are hungry on this flight it's not for the lack of offerings by the crew. This flight was smooth and on time.

First time ever in first class. This was a must repeat! The staff was extremely sweet! Seats had way enough leg room for myself and my 6'4" fiancé. Drinks were always refreshed the snacks were great. New material for movies. Definitely the best airline for longer flights.

I find Delta to be more customer oriented instead of cutting corners to save a buck. I've always had on time flights and wonderful service from all their staff. On my last flight with them, I noticed some exposed wires on the floor. Shortly after informing a stewardess, a mechanic showed up and secured them. The repair was that fast that there was no delay in the scheduled departure. Staff are always pleasant and aim to please the customers. They put the customer first.

We try to upgrade to Comfort Class, Business Class or First Class for flights longer than 5-6 hours. That was easy years ago when airlines booked at 65%-75%. Now that airlines routinely overbook, its very difficult to upgrade - even though I'm a Delta Gold Medallion member and my wife is a Silver. When we looked at upgrading from Spokane GEG to Paris CDG, it was like $3,000 (+/-) round trip. So, that was a show stopper. But for the return flight, there was an anomaly and the upgrade to Delta One (their term for non-demestic first class), it was $90.00 each for the flight from CDG to SEA (Seattle). I just don't give Delat a 5-Star just for a look in pricing. We fly a lot of Delta, 2-3 international trips per year and probably a half dozen domestic flights per year. If your a salesperson, that's not a lot. But, for most people that's a lot of flights...
