I was booked through American Express travel for a work trip. After flying to Boise I received a notification that my return trip had been canceled. I spoke with my business contact who had arranged the flight and he had it reinstated. The next day I received another notification that my ticket had been canceled again so I called the agent and was told that I was a no show on the flight I had taken to get to Boise so my ticket was canceled. The only flight available would arrive four hours later because the other flight was full already. Nothing other than sorry was offered and no responsibility was taken by anyone at the airline for separating me from my travel partner and delaying my trip for four hours (new flight is already delayed so hopefully it wont be more). Won't fly Alaska again, terrible customer service.

This airline cancels or delays on this route more than any other route I have been on. They have a monopoly on this route so you are screwed for options. They are always claiming weather or mechanical problems....their latest screw up cost me huge because they're IT notification systems went down and didn't notify clients of known delays causing missed connections. Customer care line is a joke with 3-4hr waits and call backs that come from reservations which cannot do compensation. It's an endless loop of BS that you almost feel like giving up which is their whole goal. Frustrate you till you give up and they don't have to own their screw ups.

Alaska used to be one of the best out of Seattle. With today’s experience and about half a dozen other problematic flights since this summer, I think I’m officially done with them.

Today in particular, we were notified of a new hour plus delay four different times. They wait to the minute you should be boarding to notify you. While I don’t mind being kept in suspense during thriller movies, this shouldn’t be your experience at the airport for an entire day. Customer service was standoffish and uncaring at the airport service counter when I tried to find other options after the fourth delay. Trying to call for assistance I was given an estimated three hours to wait. Never got a callback from their service as well. What a joke. They are riding the coattails of their former service record - look at the last few months of reviews on here.

I was flying from Seattle to Phoenix and was waiting for my cooler when the baggage handler wheeled over my item and handed me the broken handle and walked away.

This is a very durable $400 Big Frog cooler that now has a broken handle and is split nearly in half. I have used this cooler for years and been quite rough with it so I am amazed they were able to do this type of damage.

I went to customer service and she took photos and told me "I'll be honest, Alaska probably won't do anything about it"

I submitted a claim and was told to wait 4-6 weeks for resolution but was emailed the next day stating they are not liable and won't be doing anything about it but they "still value my patronage". Absolutely ridiculous. I will no longer be flying with Alaska

Bought our initial ticket months ago. Flew up here on 26 Nov from LAS. Received an email on Thursday asking if I wanted to change my flight for $50 credit. I found an earlier flight, accepted it.When I got the confirmation it was for Dec 5th instead of the 2nd. I immediately called customer service and they said it will cost us $340 in. Change fees to change it back… just 5 Minutes later. Talk about a scam! I went back to the email offer and the boarding times were in a large font black on white, while the day was in tiny print white on dark blue. I would like the money back from that $340 up charge.I've been an Alaska customer for over 20 years. If this is how you treat people that have been loyal to you , you will lose our business…flights and credit card. Extremely disappointed. No longer will I recommend Alaska to any friends and relatives.
