“Older plane has several advantages!”
Review of Alaska Airlines

Reviewed December 9, 2019

Since Airlines uses an older plane on this route, there were no power outlets, but I would gladly trade the power outlets for larger seating space. The configuration was 2 - 2 so no middle seats and the seats had not been put closer to the seat in front of you so we had almost the same amount of leg room as in economy plus on other carriers. And, more recline room! Wish other airlines wouldn't cram so many extra seats on their planes... we will look for older planes from now on!

I had driven a moving van from Portland to Seattle to help my daughter move into her new Capitol Hill apartment overlooking downtown Seattle to begin her new job. Traffic all along I-5 was severely congested in four different locations; the four hour drive was unpleasant and difficult. My daughter had purchased a ticket for me to fly the 37 minute flight back to Portland; my noise-cancelling headphones helped me sleep the whole way back to Portland. This is the reason people fly Alaska air, even on short trips - it's just so much easier and pleasant than driving, especially the trips between Seattle & Portland. Thanks, Brittany !!

flight delays departing las vegas to seattle and seattle to Juneau. no major problem, informed us right away for departing gate changes and time changes..the insurance that was purchased provided meal vouchers for the delays. awesome. the delays were about one hour to one and half hours...still made our connecting flights.

This did not feel like 1st class. Yes the seats were better, yes we got free drinks but that was the extent of the amenities. We did not get a meal - only snacks - I guess it was the wrong time of day. I paid for Internet access for something to do because there was no entertainment! It was a long flight so I had hoped that flying in a higher class would make the flight more enjoyable. Alaska Airlines is a great airline with great personnel on the ground and in the air. So I think this 1st class flight must have been an aberration. But just in case, I'm not flying 1st class with Alaska Airlines again.
