I had a horrible experience with racial profiling and discrimination while traveling on the Celebrity Equinox. I was a solo traveler and the woman seating people made up some rule about single people having to dine alone on Celebrity cruises due to company policy. Having been on 30+ cruises, I knew that there was not such policy and called her out on it, but her boss said that it was a new policy just on this cruise.

I escalated to the Restaurant Manager and he said that it was a company-wide policy. When I wrote to the CEOs office, they said that there was no such policy, but the CEOs office said that if I would get along better with people, I wouldn't experience racism while traveling on Celebrity in the future!!!

I am more stunned by the Celebrity CEOs attitude towards racial profiling than I am by what happened!

We travelled on the Celebrity Equinox for a very special 40th Wedding Anniversary - We booked via Cruise118(wouldn't recommend) - The transfers from Airport to our overnight Hotel were abysmal - waited two hours at the Airport and then travelled on a Coach that was probably new in 1950!! - Onboarding etc was a bit of a shambles but hey you look forward to the Cruise so there we are. We boarded and went to get some refreshments(we had purchased the all inclusive drinks premium package) only to be told we hadn't! - Down we went to a long queue at Customer Services and waited for a couple of hours all in all for everything to be sorted out as of course we had the package we thought we had(communication issues with Cruise118, we were advised) - We had informed Cruise118 of our very Special occasion and this was never acknowledged by Celebrity - No big deal but disappointing for sure(small personal touches can mean so much, specially when you are choosing to spend the time and indeed money with the providers) - The cruise itself was ok though nothing whatsoever compared to the Royal Caribbean experiences we previously had enjoyed - Entertainment was ok bordering on poor - nothing more nothing less just make sure your expectations are not too high! - Crew as you usually get on these Cruises were mainly delightful apart from one or two "grumpy" ones but they do work their socks off for sure. All in all the one star is for the Crew as the Company and Cruise118 deserved zero I'm afraid - I am not a "Celebrity" but we are certainly glad to be out of there.......!

The trip on this ship was fantastic the organisation on getting on and off the ship was nothing short of brilliant. We had a balcony stateroom 7219 near the front of the ship this was good because even though you had quite a walk to the rest of the ship it was really quiet and sleeping was excellent.the staff were really sublime in particular our stateroom attendant Robin and Ellison in the dining room these guys are a credit to the company.if I have a complaint it is about the basketball court at the front of the ship how did anyone think this was a good idea when you have sunbeds there away from the pool for piece and quiet and all you here is shouting and a ball bouncing.ridiculous.The islands visited ws really good apart from Martiniqe this was a dump and not worth getting off the ship we are not first time cruisers but I would reccomend Celebrity evey time

Just returned from 9 night cruise of the ABC islands. This ship is fantastic, in a basic stateroom you get an umbrella a great beach bag, beach towels and dressing gowns. The ship is beautiful, exceptionally clean. Pool towels provided without having to show room key. Entertainment fabulous and food wonderful. We had the classic drinks and WiFi and found the WiFi to be always working and lots of availability on the classic drinks package. Staff so helpful and friendly. On board shops reasonably priced.

This was our furst Celebrity cruise- we have cruised previously 7 or 8 times on Royal Carribean. We thought that we would try Celebrity this time around as it was a special holiday celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. We were also travelling with another couple who were celebrating significant birthdays. We had a aqua class cabin and the others a concierge class cabin. Following other reviews, I have to say that the service on board is first class. We had a great couple of guys serving us - Don as the head waiter and Darko as the waiter. They looked after us very well indeed. I would also agree that on this cruise the entertainment was OK but not that great when compared with the shows we have seen on RC. We had booked some trips with Celebrity and they were good days. The snorkelling with the Turtles and the Stingrays were 2 x great days. Overall the cruise was great - we all had a great time and we will likely cruise Celebrity again - however I do have 2 really minor points for consideration - (1) As we were in aquaclass we had excusive access to Blu restaurant. We only ate their once and we asked if there was a chance for our friends to join us for one night. We appreciated that they offically had no access but we were also quite willing to pay an extra covering charge if necessary. The answer came back as a NO - this is not possible. We therefore ended up in the MDR with our friends for dinner, and did noit bother much at all with Blu. For my part this is a flaw in Celibrity marketing. If our friends had managed to get in to Blu just for one night they may have been swayed on their next cruise to book aqua class. As it happens it has had the reverse effect and if we cruise again we will go with concierge. Slightly less income for Celibrity possibly going forward ?? The Blu restaurant was not that full so I am sure they could have made the accomodation. The maitre d informed me that it is niot their decision at a local level but corporate rulings !! The other small niggle is that although the buffet restaurant had a great choice of food and quality - if you did in fact want a burger / hit dog / fries you had to go to the grill outside in the pool area. There was normall a further queue here, get you food , get back inside to the restaurant - food would nvariably be cold by the time you found a seat. Why there were no fires or burgers on the regular buffet I will never understand. Apart from the two soap box moments above we did have a great time and will probably cruise Celbrity again.

The ship is well maintained and has excellent facilities particularly bars and restaurants. There are many entertainment venues on board including an excellent main theatre. Other facilities include the best equipped gym I've ever been in, a large casino, blackjack odds 6 to 5! (so didn't participate) and a shopping arcade some shops reasonably priced some less so. Beware the art auction. Our cabin was good. Excellent friendly daily cleaning. Note. We originally booked an outside cabin but upgraded just prior to the cruise at a lower cost possible if the ship isn't full. Excellent food and drinks. Service in the Silhouette restaurant was very good as was the food. Ocean View buffet was incredible in the range and quality of food on offer. There was so much good food available, we saw a lot of gluttony going on but hey ho. Several optional specialist restaurants at premium prices but probably better value than the excursions for using your on-ship dollar credits. 2 bars only served Premium drinks which was annoying. Entertainment on board was hit and miss. Nice mix of music acts some better than others, shows put on by the ships own team of young dancers and singers was good. Comedy was embarrassingly bad, except Kevin Jordan who was good. Some technical issues messed up 2 shows. The ships disco in the Sky Observation Lounge was good but the DJ was a bit predictable and had an irritating way of fading songs in and out. Plenty going on around the main pool areas but we preferred the bars at the stern which were generally quieter. Island stops gave enough time to tour the islands and a little shopping. Not sure why we stopped at Martinique on Sunday as everything was closed. Ship excursions massively over-priced which was no doubt designed to soak up on-ship dollar credits. All the crew wore masks, however, I caught covid whilst on board or maybe on the aircraft on route (only confirmed on my return). I would guess it was pretty common on board but didn't seem to affect anyone's enjoyment of the cruise. Just one of those things we have to get use to and live with. The level of service provided by the multinational crew was outstanding.
