Just came back from an 8 day cruise to the southern carribean. This has been my 1st cruise since the pandemic and about 10 years since we’ve cruised on carnival. What a change in 10 years. The quality of food has definitely gone downhill. Best meal was the pasta bar at lunch. No straws except candy ones that turn slimy, so take your own. Coffee machines were out of coffee more times than not. My grandkids loved the kids club, they had a ball there and met a lot of nice people. All in all, we had a great time with family,

The cabin was small but that was expected. The food was horrible and the service in the dining rooms was even worse! The hamburgers were great thankfully or I would have been living on ice cream. It took over 2 hours to get served every time we ate in the dining room, even for the express breakfast. One morning my 3 year old ordered cereal and milk, it didn’t get to the table for over 2 1/2 hours. We had all eaten and were actually walking out when they brought her cereal. One night I ordered the extra fee $23 steak but was served something else entirely. Bread was always late to the table and it was useless to ask for anything like butter. The spa was dirty with tiles falling off the wall in the steam room and if you went in the spa there were high pressure sales people waiting for you at the door. My 5 year old was very excited about the childrens camp but after an hour he begged not to have to go back. The movie night was good. It the live shows were so bad. The head waiter in the dining room sang at night and he was far better than the actual show. I’ve been on over 10 carnival cruises but this was the first in several years. I will not be wasting my money with them again. The gold VIP perks aren’t worth it.

Our last cruise was probably ten years ago and we were very disappointed with what carnival has become. Service was awful. Food was even worse. Entertainment was no where near what we expected from cruises in the past. Our suite was nice and spacious but we had to stay on top of the steward to keep clean towels and get him to make the couch back into a bed at night, and vice versa. The hamburger bar was WONDERFUL. It is what we are most of the time. Overall, I will likely never cruise carnival again due to their lower standards. I would rather pay a little more and have good service, food and activities.

We have taken many cruises over the years and have always loved Carnival. We actually preferred them over any other cruise line. This is the first one we have taken since the pandemic and boy have things changed. The service is terrible, some of the servers were actually rude. The food was terrible with the exception of maybe 2 nights in the dining room and the entertainment was awful. The only saving grace the cruise director Joey, my room steward and one waiter team in the dining room. This cruise was a total lrt down and waste of my money. If I could, I would give it zero stars.

The staff was outstanding everywhere. Food in dining room, Mongolian Wok, Seafood Shack, Guys Bergers and the BBQ joint was great. Getting on the ship was easy but at Grand Turk the lines to get on the ship was poor, elevator waits were poor and Mongolian Wok line was too long. Our room was excellent and the steward was great. One other poor thing was the hot water came out brown for three days and we were told to just let it run, poor never seen this on any other ship.
