My husband and I have problems w altitude sickness and would appreciate knowing what hiking and scenic areas in Yosemite are lower altitude. (We will only have a few days there so don’t have time to try to do gradual acclimation)

Yosemite Valley is 4,000 ft above sea level. Is that low enough?

Check out yosemitehikes.com for full descriptions of different hikes. Hikes from Yosemite Valley and Hetch Hetchy start at around 4,000 ft so to climb up to 5k or 6k and then back down in the same day would not cause altitude effects on most people.

Glacier Point is 7,200 ft but it's not a hike, just a stroll from the car. Sentinel Dome summit is above 8k. Taft Point is about the same elevation as GP.

Tioga Rd / Tuolumne Meadows, on the other hand, you tend to start at 8k to 8,500 ft and climb higher from there. Hikes from TIoga Rd that do not go higher include North Dome and a stroll around Tenaya Lake.
