How long does it take to walk from the eurotunnel terminal to cite europe -or
do you need a taxi or bus ?
Merci / Thanks
I don't think it is likely to be walkig distance....
Have you looked at Google Maps? Or Viamicelin??
Eurotunnel is for people with vehicles only. It doesn't do a passenger only service.
But in answer to your question, I would think about 5 - 10 minutes walk. You won't need a taxi or bus, but they wouldn't be available there anyhow.
Edit - Google Maps suggests between 25 and 30 minutes but I've never walked it, only driven it and it seemed a relatively short distance.Edited: 4 years ago
Good points, Bean, post #1 a bit silly, probably! ;-)
You cannot WALK to or from the Eurotunnel terminal even if you are a member of staff. All movement in and out has to be by vehicle, and except for staff and delivery vehicles, those vehicles must be en route to or from the United Kingdom. Therefore there is no walking time from the terminal to Cité Europe and if you tried to walk it, using the roadways to by-pass the fences, you would be picked up by the Gendarmerie.
If you mean ‘Cite Europe ‘ then no, consider it as being airside at an airport. Before you get there you’ll have been through check in, security, passport control & customs. You are ( effectively) in the U.K.
You do understand why this is a secure area, don’t you?
