Hotels near the Moda Center?

Hotels near the Moda Center?

We have been to Portland a number of times, but not since Covid. We always stayed downtown. However, for this visit we are headed to a concert at the Moda Center. So, it seems like it would make the most sense to stay nearby. I can see a few hotels within walking distance. My question is, how is the area for safety? We will be with our 14yr old. We don't mind driving during the day, but would prefer being able to walk after the concert and not have to deal with parking.

That area is pretty quiet -- it's not a residential area, and I haven't noticed any homeless population nearby. The Crown Plaza is close, and a tiny bit further is Hyatt Regency and the Hotel Eastlund. It should be an easy and safe walk from any of them.

welcome

note i live in PDX so im not realy going to stay at some hotel.

But if you are going there for a concert, chances are you wont be the only ones.

THere are is a mix of industrial, commercial and so forth.

just due your due diligence on where you will stay and if they fit your needs.

also, if you dont feel safe, call an uber/lyft or taxi.

and you may want to exercise your google maps skills and look at where things are, such as streets, moda center, your lodging and so forth.

good luck

You should be fine. The hotels mentioned are easy to get to from the concert. There is also the Double Tree Lloyd Center which is on the MAX line two stops from the Rose Quarter.

Sounds good, thanks all! We love Portland, I was just unfamiliar with the area. And I know you, like us in our city in BC are struggling with drug addiction and homelessness. So wanted to do my due diligence before booking.

I live in Portland and work very near the Moda center. I recommend the Hotel Eastlund. I've never stayed there, but they have a great restaurant with a beautiful view that we go to often.

I would feel safe walking there from the Moda center, but I'd advise against walking all the way to the Double Tree after dark. I'd also take an Uber before taking the Max after dark. Sorry, I used to be so proud of our public transportation.

After a concert, MAX will be filled with concert goers until at least The Double Tree. Although I agree with you that MAX is not what is used to be.

Perfect, the Eastlund and Hyatt were at the top of our list.

I understand about the Max, and the situation in general, and I appreciate your honesty.

You should be able to walk easily from Moda to the Hyatt. No need to Uber or Max it.

I've stayed at the Hyatt multiple times since it opened, and recommend it.
