April is usually when the Sargassum starts to increase

We have had a few days with heavy amounts but not overwhelming.

Today has minimal amounts as per the Akumal (main beach) webcam.

Thanks Van Sundog!

Looking at Sargassum Monitoring site and on Facebook, the French Caribbean beaches are being blanketed with this blight. Martinique is just heartbreaking.

Mr Bolsonaro, I know you don’t care about the Amazon, nor much else, but we do!

Anyone curious about it keep in mind that the season is just starting up. It gets worse as time goes on and won't subside until fall. Predictions are fairly grim this year.

Thanks, Ale. Yes, we have to learn to live with it, a bit like Covid, but not as bad.

Ugly on the Lol-Ha webcam today. As bad as I've seen in 2021.

Take a look at Sargassum Monitoring website and Facebook page. The general sargassum situation is absolutely terrible! ABBWR seems to do a very good job of cleaning it up.

Joan I meant we need to learn to live with unpleasant truths. Covid will become endemic as sargassum will. Obviously, seaweed is nothing like a deadly virus!
