Montauk - last week in October? Fall Foliage/Restaurants?

Hi!

I typically try to do something fall foliage related the last week in October. Bucks County, PA was great at that time last year. Aiming for Montauk this year!

Wondering if the foliage is typically good around that time, any recommended parks/scenic drives to view foliage, and what restaurants/bars folks recommend for a fun dinner (that will still be open for the season - ie no place too stuffy)?

Thank you!

First or second week Nov. is better but I don't think of Montauk as a good place for leaf color. The vegetation is “scrubby”. There are beautiful colors in the Hamptons villages though where there's better soil and more of an array of tress. I google Montauk with fall foliage and this came up

which is more what I think of.

Which direction will you be driving from? The Hampton villages are beautiful as is the North Fork.
