I don't know, Jen. Shawn pretty much nailed it with Roulette being the highest payout, and yes that is what it would be referred to.

I meant highest payout, thanks for the tips. So I guess lowest odds is how you say it? which will be the highest payout.....and highest house edge.

How about those millions of check you see on casino, what gamble is that, is that lottery from casino?

"which will be the highest payout.....and highest house edge."

So you want a shot, however remote, at a really huge jackpot. This will be what the call "progressive slots," slot machines that are linked to one another so there is one shared jackpot that can get pretty large. The amount will be displayed on a screen on the top of each machine; you can't miss it.

Note that usually you need to be wagering the maximum amount per spin in order to be qualified for the jackpot, this can be $5 on a "penny" machine, so be prepared.

Lowest house edge games are 3:2 blackjack played with perfect strategy...craps WITH full odds...and video poker with "good" pay tables. Some off strip places offer video poker options that are positive expectation games (meaning that in the long term you will win more than you lose)..but these games are rare and require skill to play perfectly. I'm a huge fan of 3:2 blackjack because I think it is still the "best bet" in the casino if you play it properly. Go to www.wizardofodds.com for more gambling info.

If you're just looking for a slim chance at hitting a big jackpot...stick with slots. I hate them because the house edge is so high and you're almost guaranteed to lose...but there's a very small chance that you could hit a big payout with very little invested.

Very few gamblers can afford to play slots heavily long term. If you plan on taking up gambling as a hobby, stick with 3:2 blackjack with good rules (and know how to play)...or craps with full odds (don't make the stupid bets at the craps table)..or master video poker strategy. Baccarat is also a decent bet (I just don't personally like it). Good luck!

Go off-Strip or downtown.
