I've noticed that most hotels in Las Vegas have very sleazy resort fees. Are there any good places that don't charge these or is airbnb the best way to go?Edited: April 05, 2018, 8:57 pm
This must be new. What properties have them? What makes them “ sleazy”?
When did it start? How much are they?
Oh this will be a fun thread.
All hotels other than Casino Royale on the strip have resort fees. You just need to add them to the room rate and forget about them. Some places on Fremont Street do not charge resort fees (Four Queens off the top of my head). But what's the difference between paying $100 per night with no resort fee or $60 a night with a $40 resort fee? It's the same charge, that's how you need to think of it.

I'm hoping that this will be a fun and educational thread. I live in Michigan where very few hotels charge fees like this. Hopefully enough informed travelers will close down these fees if they find a reasonable alternative.
Loving this thread already. The higher the resort fee the sleazier the hotel perhaps.....
“I'm hoping that this will be a fun and educational thread. ”
How is this going to be accomplished? There are already about 312 fun and educational Resort Fee threads here, going back for years.
How will this one be different?
All additional fees like "resort fees" are sleazy. Hotels that charge for parking outside of downtown or airport zones are also sleazy, but parking rates are not nearly as bad as "resort fees".
“lacking firmness of texture : flimsy
b : carelessly made of inferior materials : shoddy
2 a : marked by low character or quality sleazy tabloids
b : squalid, dilapidated sleazy bars””
I’m not sure “ sleazy” is an accurate characterization of Resort Fees.
