NCAA Tourney 2019

Where's the best place to stay for the opening weekend of March Madness 2019?

What does "best" mean to you? Most places host viewing parties, info on that starts around Superbowl time. If you mean sportsbooks, MOST of them now are reserved seating--you can't just walk in the first day and expect to find a seat. Really none of that is relevant to where you want to stay though. We go every year and stay at NYNY. Why? Because they comp me and I like the casino. It's personal preference.

Thanks! I'm interested in viewing parties. Do you have recommendations for good ones? Do you have to wait until after Super Bowl to book? Do they sell out?

They DO sell out for sure, and range widely as far as price and offerings. I THINK there are a couple free ones left (TI maybe). But typically the info doesn't come out until right around Superbowl. Caesars properties and the Cosmo both have big ones they host--but they vary widely and can include open bar, or drink tickets, food (or not), reserved seating or not, it just depends. They typically start somewhere around $200 per day and go up from there depending on what you want. Most of the MGM properties have parties also, again, that vary widely in what you get.

Basically--the games are on EVERYWHERE. Personally I don't go to viewing parties because I don't want to pay $200 for all you can drink Miller Lite and hot dogs. Start looking around in November/December and see what's out there--also may want to subscribe to emails from the bigger casinos so you get the info when it's released. You have PLENTY of time. :)

I like TI. It's a bit early for 2019.
