We will be in Sayulita in just a few days for a week. The weather forecast is low to mid 70's for the high. Which does not sound that warm. I am wondering if Sayulita is like many Southern California coastal areas where the forecast says 70's but it feels like 80's.

Should we pack shorts and swim suits or pants and jackets? Or both?

And Puerto Vallarta shows in the 80's...why the difference?

Thanks all!

You'll find there's a lot of heat in the sun and for some people it's too hot to sit in the sun for long, but the shade will still be cool. There's been a pretty constant breeze blowing as well which is keeping things feeling cooler than it actually is. Absolutely bring bathing suits and shorts but bring some light-weight long sleeves, light wraps, etc for mornings and evenings.

As for Puerto Vallarta having higher temps, I've always just put that down to more vehicles, more buildings, etc, and it does feel cooler here, but the actual forecast wouldn't reflect that.
