We are renting a house in town and would like to be able to walk if possible.
We love all cuisines and good wine!
If you’re staying downtown, Harbor Springs is very small and walkable and most restaurants are right downtown. The pier (they have upscale inside dining, a nice bar, and a deck for a lovely lunch dining), the depot club, New York, bar harbor (dive bar food), turkeys for casual sandwiches, Tom‘s mom‘s cookies.
If you want an upscale grocery / wine store Toski sands on the harbor Petoskey Road.
If you’re there long enough, make sure you drive up M-119 (tunnel of trees) and stop for lunch or dinner at Legs Inn
There’s also restaurants in Petoskey, and Charlevoix. Douglas lake bar and Grill is another great restaurant that’s about 20 minutes away.
The Pier Restaurant has been my favorite Harbor Springs restaurant since the 1960s. Still good after ll these years.
I recommend Small Batch Cupola. The owner is so kind and all the food, especially the desserts are amazing. We’ve had both breakfast and dinner there. For lunch it’s fun to go to the bottle shop and go to the back of the store to order a deli sandwich (the train wreck is their specialty.) We take our sandwiches down to the park at the marina and enjoy watching the boats. Tom’s Moms cookies is a must for incredible cookies.Edited: June 16, 2021, 9:21 am
