Is this station in a safe neighborhood and are there taxis available? (Largo town center)

It's not in a an area I'd want to linger in. It's the last stop on the Blue line so I'd be very surprised if there weren't taxis waiting there. I know there are usually plenty at Greenbelt and New Carrollton which are both stations at the end of the Green and Orange lines.
You could always call a taxi if there are none waiting when you arrive.

Thanks, ended up getting a private car to pick me up at Union Station, but I would consider taking metro again if I needed to. Largo is just so much more convenient for me than New Carrolton. Is the latter that much safer and better? I know it's a big station as I pass it when I am on Amtrak or Marc but don't know anything else about it.
