Read a review stating an Uber ride to a restaurant 2 miles away from the Fountainebleu, where we are staying, was upwards of $60. Any truth to this? We didn't plan on renting a car, and planned to strictly uber.
Uber pricing is all based on demand. If you’re looking for a ride at bar close during spring break, the rates can be sky high. Rush hours each day will usually show a small spike in rate too, but nothing crazy. When the super bowl was in Minneapolis a few years ago, Uber rates jumped to hundreds of dollars to go a few miles rather than the normal 10-15.
Correct, these are very busy times due to spring break. The normal cost should be around $10.
You can consider the free bus or trolley, but check hours etc.
When does spring break end?
Usually about end of March.
We stayed close by and used a combination of Uber and lyft to travel around and the prices perfectly reasonable, obviously peak times prices go up but that’s the same worldwide.
