Oak Creek Canyon is my favorite drive. The drive’s famous switchbacks at the end of the canyon lead you up to a pretty overlook of the canyon. Due to COVID the native Americans may not be present selling their jewelry and pottery. Do not miss this drive! Indian Gardens Cafe and Market is an interesting place to enjoy lunch on their open air patio out back. Open Thurs .- Mon. 8 am - 4 pm
There were 6 or 7 tables set up by the Native American last visit early March at that rest areaEdited: May 04, 2021, 5:04 am
Thanks everyone for the replies! Does ATV tour or Pink Jeep tour offer much more than mentioned above? I have a jeep 4x4, perfect for driving at Sedona. Is there a map for self driving? Any areas need professional driver to pass by?
Thanks a bunch! I'll be doing that tomorrow (5/13/2021). Hope to get feedback soon.
People have been visiting Sedona with their own off road vehicle or renting one for an adventure without realizing the irreparable harm they are doing to the environment. Arizona is experiencing a drought. Our arid environment has been impacted in so many ways including erosion, soil compaction, and loss of vegetation just to mention a few. Even the people who have confined their routes to a forest road are unaware of the damage to which they have contributed. Recent aerial shots of Sedona on local news gave a visual presentation of the negative impact off roading is creating on Sedona's environment.Edited: May 13, 2021, 2:13 am
