We always change about £50 before we go and take sterling and change in Turkey. Ususally find the rates are better than at home.

3. Re: Money?

Travellers. cheques are very seldom used now and it is hard to find anywhere to change them. Always get a better rate changing in Turkey. Also you can use an ATM but check what charges, if any, you Bank makes to use an ATM.

Take sterling with you , and change what you want as you need it . There are many shops and restaurants that will exchange money at a good rate , not just the money exchange shops . You will also find that most places if not all , will accept payment in sterling so you don't need to exchange that much .

And as previously stated you generally get a better than in the UK .
