The fence along the east side of Thornybush has been gone for quite a while. I learned about it in February. This has been described here in the Forum and it's not just 'been said' but is an actual fact.
Thanks guys for the info. Now the fence is down I guess the prices go up. I can’t seem to find a lodge cheaper than 6,000 rand per person per night in that reserve.. unless anyone knows any different?
Chapungu Tented Camp should come in under that amount, but probably not by much. Enjoy
I think the lodges have always been pretty expensive in Thornybush. If the prices have gone up, there should be an official announcement somewhere that the fence is down. Still nothing official anywhere.
I don't see 2019 rates yet - but for this year, Chapungu us R5267PP and n'Kaya is R4961.
Monwana and Serondella are R5957PP, and I don't think we can logically consider that to be UNDER R6000..
