Overwhelmed by hotel choices in MA, please help.

I generally do a ton of research before my trips, but as I have been traveling in Panama and other parts of Costa Rica for the last 20, I am getting overwhelmed by the MA choices.

I like clean, semi-luxury rooms, newer linens, nice pool for relaxing at end of day, fairly central location, don't mind driving during day, but prefer to walk for dinner is possible. On beach isn't necessary as this is only for 3 nights and plan on going to beaches in the park.

This is the first time I will see my boyfriend in weeks and would prefer nice rooms with comfy beds and bedding, fairly romantic.

Any help would be appreciated! Don't really want to spend more than $200 (maybe $250) a night. Thanks!!!!

This place is amazing.we stayed in the 2 bedroom.. it is within walking distance of ATM, superjoseth , plenty of restaurants , taxi and bus to Manuel Antonio .

We lucked out and only paid the 1 bedroom price for the 3 nights we were there. Very private pool and area to sunbathe... loved it.. not too many guests either... Nadia the concierge is there 24 hours to help you if you need anything. Owner drops by daily too. Washer & Dryer free to use. Locked gate with security code , awesome view from tower too.

Check it out you won't be sorry.

There are so many options I agree but here are a few that you can't go wrong with:

http://www.sicomono.com/

http://hotelmonoazul.com/cover.htm -this is more budget priced than the above two but ask for the "honeymoon suite" which is across the street from the rest of the rooms and there's a pool right out in front...it's a great room! :-) Doesn't matter if it's your honeymoon or not! :-)

Enjoy!

I agree with roadadvisor, all great selections he suggested (Hotel Mariposa is not my favorite tho). Tulemar/Buena Vista is a nice property, I also like Hotel Makanda if you want only adults atmosphere, or Mango Moon is nice if you like a litte more of a B&B feel with the owner there to take care of you. The later is really easy for walking to local restaurants and bars also, as is Tulemar, so that may help you decide. Hope that helps! Enjoy!

I'll chime in with Hotel Makanda. Good to see some adult only hotels around.

I stayed The Falls Resort 2 weeks ago, was very nice, quite, nice pool, best bedding I have had in CR, breakfast included and just a 2 min ride down the hill to beach/park area. We were able to walk to El Avion (about across street) and Aqua Azul, other placea around also, those are just 2 notables, food at El avion is just OK, but cool place and great view. Good luck

We liked Villas Campanas which is within walking distance to both the park and the beach. Nice self contained rooms, pool.
