Along the Boardwalk Resorts, Bally's and Trop also have indoor pools.

Ocean Resorts has great pools. They are slated to open June 28, certainly by the time you’re coming they should be fully operational. Their rooms are very nice and booking before they open might get you a decent rate.

I've been looking at Bally's and they either have rooms in the Ballys tower or forum rooms, same price, any thoughts on which are nicer? Where is the pool located in the hotel? Any info much appreciated

The Forum tower is at Caesars. Bally's pool also has a cost associated with it unless you are a Diamond or 7* member. Caesars has a small outdoor pool that also charges. If a pool is a huge thing for you then you should look into the Claridge. It is a non-casino, historical hotel but it is connected with Bally's through a walkway on the 2nd floor. It used to be part of Bally's but they sold it off a few years ago.

The indoor pool at the Taj was nice even before it closed.

In September perhaps you should try staying someplace with an indoor pool and an outdoor pool, like the Tropicana.
