Angkor Pass price rise effective 1st Feb 2017

Confirmation of the price rises on the Ministry of Tourism website

1 day pass $37

3 day pass $62 (valid for 10 days)

7 day pass $72 (valid for 1 month)

for a copy of the news release

Taxi driver says the one man assigned gouverment is making money from the tourists....lokals do not profit from high prices.

3 dollars used to go to hospitals for each ticket, with the new ticket it stays with the 3 dollar and this is by far not enough for the nearby hospitals...

#21 Without doubt, if you only have one day, visit the three iconic sites of the lots - Angkor Wat, Bayon, and Ta Prohm. If there is time, visit Pre Luc too for sunset. You can't visit many sites in a day really.

My suggestion is get the ticket the day before, rather than join in the rush in the early morning, competing with everyone else who are for the sun rise trip.

where does one buy an Angkor pass? our flight from Ho Chi Minh City lands at 1730., and we plan to see the sunrise next morning! is this viable or should we post pone it for a day later?

Can we pay for Cambodian visa and the angkor pass in their local money or by Visa

Please advise because I am leaving for Siem Reap on Jan 26th

I have India Rupees so I dont know how to manage with their demands for only Us$

Please guide me
