Checking on TA can I check that the Tuk Tuk should be around the following prices; small tour about $15. The grand tour $20 however if going for sunrise the additional cost will be another $10?

I would also like to go to Banteay Srei, Kbal Spean and Phnom Kulen - how much should I be looking at for here please?

I will be buying my 3 day AW ticket about 5pm the day before so I can see sunset without it activating the ticket. I understand the cost of the Tuk Tuk to the ticket office - AW and back to the hotel should be about $10-12.

I only ask so I have an idea about budgeting and not getting ripped off. Taking advice from other posts I will not be getting a Tuk Tuk from my hotel and I will not be booking a Tuk Tuk prior to my arrival.

Thank you all in advance.

I wouldn't even attempt to visit Phnom Kulen by tuk tuk - you'd still be driving the next day. And do know too, that the road to PK is a single lane contra-flow road ... up only between dawn and noon and down only between 1pm and dark.

beckyarya, additional cost for Sunset or Sunrise should only be 5$ not 10$usd.

One trip we visited Banteay Srei by tuk tuk, leaving around 8am and visiting ONLY Banteay Srei, we were not back to our hotel until mid-afternoon.... the temple itself is not large and we did have lunch there.... so car would be a much better option to see all you want to see... allow around 65$usd for the trip

Still not visited Phnom Kulen in 6 trips so high on our list for our return... so can't comment regarding if it is worth it.... we did visit Koh Ker by car and thought the temples and sites were quite different to many of the temples in Angkor Complex and well worth the day trip.

cheers, baddles

We paid USD25 for a tuk tuk to Banteay Srei. Its a lovely small temple but it was extremely busy. We stopped at the Landmine Museum and the Butterfly Farm on the way back. I can particularly recommend the latter.

As already said, its USD5 extra for sunrise or sunset for tuk tuks..
