I am in dire need of advice :)
My boyfriend and I are embarking on a much longer backpacking trip through Europe; however, we could use some help for the last half of our trip. We will be flying from Prague to somewhere in Italy (this is where we can begin..) about the 1st of August to explore Croatia, Slovenia, and possibly Austria before we depart back to the USA from Hungary on the 27th.(we will already have spent a week in Hungary so leaving time at the end is unnecessary)
We would only like to spend 5-7 days in 1 or 2 cities in Italy, closer to the eastern coast (venice probably & one other max) before venturing to Croatia...
We would like to spend most of our time in Croatia and are wondering the best way to do it all! If we fly from Italy to somewhere in Croatia, where should we begin? We would love to see Dubrovnik, and some of the islands and definitely the Plitvice lakes (but we will consider all advice). We would like to reserve some time after to visit lake bled in Slovenia and other recommendations before heading back to budapest.
We seem to have a long time to do these things, but that also makes it difficult to plan. We are not sure where and how we should venture these (almost) four weeks!
Anything and everything will help. Please give us advice!
