How long to spend at Universal Studios?

We are visiting Universal Studios on Saturday. I realise it will be busy, but we would like to see the parade and fireworks. We are not purchasing the express tickets and realise we will have to queue. We have planned to spend the morning at the beach and I'm wondering what sort of time we should head over to Universal Studios. We are 2 adults in our 30s. We want to see the shows and go on a few rides including the mummy, Jurassic world and Shrek. Also, how long would it take us to walk from Siloso beach to the park? Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!

It would be best to spend the full day at the park. On a Saturday, the park is going to be very busy with queues stretching to 60 mins or longer. You should just take the sentosa express from siliso beach to USS. Also June is the school holiday period so the park is going to be much busier compared to normal weekends.

You can take advantage of the single rider queues if you don't mind splitting up. The lines usually get considerably shorter after 5pm so you can have a bit of a late start.

if you are visiting this Sat 16/6 the park is open till 10pm. Grab the white programme sheet as you enter so you can plan your timings.

The walk from the beach to RWS is probably around 20-30 minutes, and it's a nice walk that takes you through Merlion Plaza. If it's crowded, sometimes it's faster to walk than to queue for the Sentosa Express. There is also a bus that will take you to RWS.

Hollywood Dreams Parade & Lake Hollywood Spectacular are at 3pm & 10pm respectively this Saturday.

You can get a handstamp to exit USS anytime you want & return later.

But it'll be the Hari Raya long weekend AND the school holidays, not to mention a Saturday, so the park will be very crowded.

You can join the single-rider queues, &/or return after 5pm after the daytime visitors & tour groups leave. USS is remaining open for 4 extra hours on the day.

Google is estimating 38 min to walk (3km), 13 min for monorail & 30 min for bus, but I'm not sure how accurate they are. The monorail will definitely take longer, due to long queues & each train having only 2 cars.

I guess being in your 30s, there are some rides that you can skip (like the kiddy Madagascar and Sesame Street).

Go for the rides with higher thrills like The Mummy and Battlestar Galactica.

As for character appearance, the schedule changes everyday/weekly based on the weather as well. So you can't see them all. However if you purchase a VIP studio tour, you may see most of them.

Depending on the crowd, queue and what you want to achieve, some can visit most of the attractions in one-day. Some take three days.

Hi. Would advise you to go off-peak time. This is week is last week of school holiday and the next one would be in Sept. Next week onwards would be lesser ppl but then again there may be tour group from other countries. Go early and mid week!
