Are kids at age of 5 years allowed to use scooter?

I'll be travelling to Singapore soon with family. Are kids of age around 5 years allowed to use kids scooter? I mean a kids scooter that looks like this https:/…3-254-_

I feel its a better option than walking for long distances.

The question you should ask yourself first is whether your kid is capable of using it in a responsible way. There have been some accidents caused by people using scooters and knocking into pedestrians sharing. It is no joke getting involved in an accident when overseas.

My question is more from the Singapore laws .. If the laws allow usage of a non-electric kids scooter in footpaths? It doesn't make sense to bring that to Singapore if the laws itself don't allow.

From a safety perspective, I can only find out if he uses it properly while I'm there.

Non electric scooters is not an issue to use here.

at the right places, sure.

like the park, playgrounds or other open areas

a definite no-no in shopping centres, crowded walkways, mrt and bus

not allowed in the Zoo and the conservatories at GBTB

Greater Perth...

I would think this is a most dangerous option to consider as a young adventurous child needs constant supervision and has resulted in tragic circumstances in the past few weeks.

Is that before or after he knocks into a pedestrian :( As stated it will be ok in the open but not where there will be crowds of people. I'm sure if you think he is capable of riding a scooter around he is capable of walking around
