I need some help for planning Three Passes Trek.

Here is my initial itinerary and any suggestions will be highly appreciated :

Day 5 Tengboche - Dingboche

Day 6 Dingboche - Rest Day

Day 7 Dingboche - Chhukung

Day 8 Chhukung - Chhukung Ri

Day 9 Chhukung - Kongma La Pass - Lobuche

Day 10 Lobuche - Gorak Shep- K.Patthar

Day 11 Gorak Shep - EBC - Dzongla

Day 12 Dzongla - Cho La Pass - Gokyo

Day 13 Gokyo - Gokyo Ri

Day 12 Dzongla - Tagnag(Nha)

Day 13 Tagnag - Gokyo - Gokyo Ri

Day 14 Gokyo - Five Lakes

Day 15 Gokyo - Renjo La Pass - Thame

Day 16 Thame - Namche Bazaar

Is it too ambitious or rather possible?

Looks doable and quite standard. One possible interesting addition could be:

Day 5: Tengpoche - Ama Dablam BC / Mingbo Lodge (Amadablam Summit Lodge)

Day 6: ADBC - Dingboche

Day 7: Dingpoche - Chhukhung

Days 15-16 better balanced:

Day 15: Gokyo - Renjo La - Lungden

Day 16: Lungden - Thame - Namche (or Monjo).

There is also the scenic trail up via Mong La - Phortse (night) - Pangpche, so it is a question of less walked trail with better views and less trekkers and wildlife, or visiting the Tengpoche Gompa with the trekker herds (or not, considering the pandemic). There are older interesting monasteries also in Pangpoche and Thame.

Just check it and Gokyo - Lungden is really much better than all the way to Thame on this day.

ADBC is a good idea too!

3 you don't need to decide that in advance. When you arrive in Lungden you decide to stay or to continue (which I did). And the same is true for the other days too, except during the acclimatization period when you can't continue up even if you feel like it.

You are right of course .If I had energy and feel good I can go a little bit further on the way down.

Just want to know best in advance optimal options.

Right now, I am fascinated with the thought of climbing Chhukung Ri. I think this may be an overlooked gem.

Now I've read (info from 2017) that the trail from ADBC to Dingboche is washed out in the 2015 Earthquake.

I have seen a recent video, they had to cross a nasty boulder field at the terminus of the glacier coming down from Ama Dablam. I do not know if it was just a route choosing mistake (maybe the trail goes lower) or what. There is also a landslide near Dingpoche which I saw myself in 2018.

In any case it is just one hour backtracking to Pangpoche, then normal trail Shomare - Dingpoche maybe 3 hours or so. So what is the problem again?

#6: Chhukung Ri was tough (false peak...). the eastern ridge wasn't climbable when I was there 2 years back - local guide (with another trekker) said it was too risky, so had to settle for a slightly lower west peak (say 100m shorter?). still, it was one hell of a climb.

it is considered good climbing and preparation for Kongma La the next day. I would do it again (Chhukung Ri) in my next trip.

There is no problem at all to backtracking via Pangboche
