Shocking huh 24.
The hoards are arriving daily up here and most are not following even the most simple precautions.
Fortunately our local stores insist on masks, no mask,no service period.
Exactly what I was concerned about. Two problems: 1. Hoards of people from in and out of state heading north, some of which are bound to be positive for COVID
2. A desire for a lucrative tourism season with businesses loosening restrictions to avoid spoiling the vacationers trying to enjoy themselves.
We’ve already had some of the highest numbers in the country. Gyms can’t even open yet in my area. Wish someone would limit this and stop encouraging cross state lines for casual travel.
I am the Commander of our local veterans Post.
We follow the rules to the letter.
Bartenders wear masks at all times. Anyone entering uses hand sanatizer and socially distances.
The post is disinfected before opening and chairs and tables as people leave. We limit occupancy to less than 50%
The other establihments follow no such rules....they are basically business as usual.
I see a huge spike coming and another lengthy lock down.Edited: June 27, 2020, 9:07 am
Maybe they will follow TX and FL in closing bars?
