Help me pick a campsight

Need something near Mackinac for 1 night.

1. Tahquamenon Falls

2. Aloha

3. Brimley

KOA is sold out and Mills requires a 2 night stay. Other state parks are sold out.

Aloha state park is going to be the closest, at around 20 or 25 minutes to Mackinaw City ... the others are at least double that.

Mullett Lake is very nice Lake ... I've never spent any time at that State Park, but it gets good reviews.

I'm assuming Burt Lake State Park is full for when you want to camp? The lakes are very similar and of course right next to each other.

I've never been to Brimley State Park, and it's been years since I've been to Tahquamenon Falls. But any MI State Park in Northern Michigan, or the UP, is going to be nice.

I'm assuming that Wilderness State Park, just west of Mackinaw City, is full?

Haven't camped at Brimley since the 80's but drove through it a few years ago. Very open, not many trees. Aloha seemed like it also was open without a lot of trees when we camped there in the 90's

I know there are YouTube videos for Aloha State Park, go to YouTube site and search and several will come up. I’ve not watched them all, but would probably help you get a lay of the land.

Also there are sometimes Street view images or the blue photo spots on Google earth Google maps.

There’s probably also videos and pictures of the other state parks you’re considering.

When coming around a holiday people generally book as soon as reservations open ... become I think isix months in advance ... especially for the prime campgrounds
