Trains from Vilnius to kaunas

Want to go to Kaunas after spending 1 night in the capital in Feb will the trains be running no matter what the weather is like? How long is the journey how often do they run and what is the return ticket price likely to be. Than you.

You can check the schedule and cost of trains at www.litrail.lt

There are many trains between Kaunas and Vilnius every day for about 18 lita (€5). I think the trains run in any weather, unless maybe there is some kind of unusual ice storm or something.

vilnius - kaunas is from 1 h 6 min to 1 h 44 min (depends on how often it stops). trains run unless there are some road repair, but it is announced about month or so before. trains run every hour or so. weather usually don't affect trains (only busses). you can check litrail.lt for train timetables and 118.lt/transporto-tvarkarasciai?actionId=4 for busses and trains.
