Walking and Taxi in the Evening

Hungary is very strict with the no driving/drinking policy and we will be having dinner, and no doubt drinking, with the relatives. They live in the SW section of town - what do you think of walking on Rt. 63, from Székesfehérvár, Sziget utca, Hungary to the hotel at Székesfehérvár, Szárcsa utca 1, if we can't get a taxi later in the evening?

I don't know the area but I checked the route with the route planner and the distance is about 2 km (about 40 minutes by foot).

Is it safe to walk in Székesfehérvár in the evening? Without knowing the area I would say, yes. Generally, evening walking is safe in Hungary. Nevetherless, you'd better take a taxi.
