Can you please tell me if there are any day tours leaving northland area for cape reigns and sand dunes day out?
Thanks in advance
try harrisons cape runner tours. they have a great trip.
However, do be aware that local iwi have barred access due to cultural reasons so check to see if access is open.
Edited: 4 years ago#1 +1 for Harrisons Cape Runner - $ 60 p p incl. lunch. If you want to save a bit of time get picked up and dropped off at Awanui as they wash their buses there on the return trip.
You should be OK
"Ngāti Kuri says it will reopen the road with a ceremony on May 29."
Half day trip by plane seems to be operating - it's a great experience.

The Salt Air half-day excursion would also be my pick too.
But check the bus tours heading for the Far North, since InterCity buses have announced the re-commencement of some services from the end of May.

What are forum guidelines?Hopefully by the end of June, the InterCity/Great Sights day-tours from the Bay of Islands to the Cape and back will be operating again though. It's not an ordinary passenger service, but a specialised day-tour; like Harrisons cape-runner that leaves from Kaitaia.
The other coach tour from Paihia is Dune Rider, but it isn't a daily cape tour.
