Hi

Alternately come down to Guwahati. From Guwahati take the overnight Naharlagun express which departs at around 9.30pm. Early next morning, you will reach Naharlagun. From Naharlagun, you will find shared vehicles to Ziro.

Also there are night super buses from Guwahati ISBT to Ziro as well as Itanagar.

Hey I am planning to attend the music festival this year. Thanks for the flight info. However I want to know how one can travel between the festival and a resort/homestay. I would appreciate any info on this.

It's better to stay in a camp located near ZFM ground. If you want to stay in other resorts then please book it before 2-3 months. It's good to hire a vehicle from Tezpur or Guwahati if you plan to stay in other accommodations not in camp.

The hotels and homestays (mainly in Siiro village) are little far from the festival grounds.

You can hire local sumo taxis in Ziro, but would be quite expensive.

Best would probably be to take a flight from Kolkata to Jorhat & then by road from Jorhat to Ziro....

Alternatively a slightly longer way would be that you can also take a flight from Kolkata to Guwahati & then by road from Guwahati to Ziro....

Traveling via Jorhat, Majuli is a much longer route. Guwahati is even further away. Not advisable.

Lilabari airport, Lakhimpur is the nearest for Ziro
