We will be staying the city centre on these days. Will attractions eg Tivoli and shops in Stroget be open on these days? Will there be any extra celebrations or activities nearby that we should be aware of?

Thanks

Linda

Some of the shops and supermarkets might be closed both Sunday and Monday. Most museums are closed every Monday, but they will be open on Pentecoast Sunday.

Tivoli is open every day.

There might be some carneval stuff. But it is quite a minor thing in Copenhagen, and as far as I remember the main event takes place on Friday or Saturday. There is also a hockey world championship going on those days

I would guess that most shops will be closed both Sunday and Monday as both days are public holidays. Only some grocery stores and souvenir shops will be open.

Some museums that are normally closed on Mondays will be open, fx Louisiana Art Museum opens on Monday May 21 (and they have an excellent design shop, if that is your thing!) - enjoy your weekend!

They normally have Middleage market with alot of stalls and activities on these two days. You can check this link below to see. These activities depict the viking era and people are also dressed and they perform as well. Best activities during these says provided the weather is good.

The mentioned Copenhagen Medival Market is in Valby Parken, a bit away from the centre. Information on the web mainly in Danish.

It´s near Sjælør Station.
