What are forum guidelines? You would have to take a train from Venice to Cervignano del Friuli. There might be a bus from there, but I suspect you would have to take a taxi for the 4 miles to Aquileia.
Aquileia is a dot on the map. I can't imagine that anyone offers tours to it.

What are forum guidelines?I've only just come across this message, so it's too late to help the original enquirer, but for those who have a similar question regarding transport in the future and don't want to hire a car: Cervignano del Friuli is on the main line to Trieste, so plenty of trains. APT and SAF have buses from Cervignano to Aquileia and onwards to Grado. I suspect they're timed to meet trains, as I didn't have much time to wait at all when I went to Aquileia as a day trip from Trieste some years ago. Hoping to go back to Aquileia next year.
Thank you! I am interested in visiting Aueileia and Grado, are the vineyards nearby? Thank you again!
