Transport

Would like to visit Nordlingen Festival in September. We are staying at Diessen am Amersee. Is it possible to get to Norlingen by public transport.

Sure. Takes about 2.5 hours each way with 2 changes of train, but service is hourly throughout the day and fare is cheap with a Bayern Ticket daypass (26€ round trip for two.).

Enter stations and other info at itinerary page above to find schedules for your date and time:

Start: Dießen (or Diessen)

Destination: Nördlingen (or Noerdlingen)

Bayern ticket information: www.munich-touristinfo.de/Bavaria-Ticket.htm

Dießen is such a nice little place. The boat from there to Herrsching takes you to the trail up to Andechs Monastery - a nice outing.
