I have to get to Horsham on a Saturday in July .
What is the best way please .
Where in London are you starting from? Are you coming back the same day, another day, or is it a one-way journey?
It is best to use the National Rail Journey Planner for this sort of enquiry. Services are frequently altered at weekends due to planned engineering work (this is a commuter route so work usually takes place at weekends).
If you book ahead you can get a rail ticket for about £10.Edited: June 16, 2021, 6:40 pm
Just because it's more or less implied in the replies rather than stated - almost everyone would make that journey by train rather than any other form of transport.
There are also Thameslink services that run from St Pancras, Farringdon, Blackfriars and London Bridge stations but depending on the actual date there could be engineering works on the route. You can check details at www.nationalrail.co.uk
Also it is possible to get a train from these stations to East Croydon or Gatwick and change there for a train to Horsham.Edited: June 16, 2021, 9:06 pm
Just to add to everyone else saying to check for engineering works - for easy reference in case your travel is on Saturday the 17th or 31st...
There will be closures of all lines through Horsham on:
Sunday 11 July
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 July
Saturday 31 July and Sunday 1 August
thanks its the 17th for a funerial
that's a bit of a downer
I'm sorry to hear of your loss.
I note your profile indicates that you live in Rome? Are you in UK now? If not you must arrive in UK with time to self isolate for 10 days BEFORE travelling to Horsham....
