If everything goes as planned I hope to visit London and

See my Miami Dolphins play ( I’m from west palm beach, Florida).

Looking for hotel in nice area to enjoy the streets, restaurants and shops.

An indication as to when this might be will help you get better answers.

The game seems to be 17th October 2021 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

I Googled it.

The more you can share the more targeted the advice - in broad terms public transport is pervasive and cheap so you can stay in the city centre and travel out (to the stadium for instance) or around in the centre.

Do you have any hotel loyalty scheme you want to stay with? Size/make up of party? Other than NFL any particular interests/must sees?

Some research might be in order. TA isn't a Travel Agent, it stands for Travel Advice.

Work out an itinerary (not using Rick Steves, he is not highly thought of in Europe) and then we will critique it.

London is a HUGE city and has been there for 2,000 years, so there is a lot to see and do.

As has been said, stay anywhere in the city centre "core" as the subway (tube) will get you from area to area quickly.

The stadium is about 8 miles out from the city centre core so you DONT want to stay out there for the week, just travel out there for the game.

This web site below gives a guide to the different areas of London and what hotels are in those areas.

https://www.londontoolkit.com/accommodation/london_hotel_briefing.htm

The "West End" is a good central area of London with loads of things to see and do (similar to maybe the Broadway / Theatre area in New York). Maybe try to stay in the "West End" or just on the edge of it.

The "West End" is a large area and here is a web site covering SOME of the things to see and do in the West End.

https://www.visitlondon.com/things-to-do/london-areas/west-end

Here is a map of the city centre "core" (link below) with many of the main historic tourist attractions on it. Most tourists spend most of their time in the areas on this map (though there are things to see outside it like Greenwich, Windsor etc)

The West End is roughly in the centre of the map near where it says Royal Academy (the West End is a large area that surrounds it)

https://www.gif-map.com/maps/europe/united-kingdom/london/tourist-map-of-london-city-center.gif

A hotel anywhere on the map above will be fine for a visit to London.

TA stands for Tripadvisor

OP - I'd be very cautious with your plans. There's a significant chance the NFL games will be cancelled. If not, you may still have to self isolate for 10 days on arrival.

However, to answer your question, stay anywhere in central London. Popular areas include Kensington, Mayfair, Westminster, Waterloo/Southbank, Covent Garden, Bloomsbury, King's Cross/St Pancras.

King's Cross would be a good location for you transport wise. Presuming you'd be flying to/from Heathrow, you can reach the area directly on public transport. Also you can head to White Hart Lane on the Victoria line with a change to the Overground at Seven Sisters.

Kings Cross, or possibly nearer Leicester Sq. Back in normal times, the sports bar at the Empire Casino there showed the NFL matches live, so fans often went there after the match. This October, who knows?

When the AZ Cardinals play in London, they stay at JW Marriott on Park Lane.

We have stayed at many hotels in Mayfair, and Cardinals convinced us to stay there. We liked it.
