February in Cheltenham (and area) - suggestions please

Hello!

I'll be in town in Mid February for about 2 weeks (7-22).

Other than the week my nieces are off school, I don't know what else to do in town or nearby.

I will be using public transit/train or bus.

I've been to the UK many times, just not this area.

It will be just me, and I'll take any suggestions.

Thanks,

Janice

Have a day in Gloucester for the awe inspiring cathedral, also a pleasant walk around the newly refurbished docks area.

You could attend a Cheltenham Health walk, very informal just turn up. Prestbury #1, Pittville Park #2.

There are several bus trips you could take:

Stroud on Saturday has a large market; walking the Canal path to Ebley (return bus available); via Painswick also worth a stop.

Cirencester, busy on a Saturday, Might be able to incorporate a stop at Cerney House, Snowdrops still around? http://www.cerneygardens.com/winter

Bus route 606 provides service to Winchcombe, Broadway (& Tower with a walk).

Prestbury is a 'villagey' suburb of Cheltenham, well worth a walk around the village & adjacent Racecourse, couple of decent pubs.Various buses, or walk through Pittville Park.

Frequent bus service to Tewkesbury; trains to Bristol, Worcester & (Great) Malvern.

It would help if you indicated your interests, if you like walking there's lots more.
