I'm going to Poland for medical treatment. I'm a HGV driver in UK Do I have to undergo isolation after returning to the UK
The exemption applies to "Drivers of goods vehicles" - unless you arrive back actually at the wheel then my reading would be you are an everyday traveller who happens to hold an HGV Licence. I dont think you can claim the exemption - but that's just my feeling?
Will you be driving your vehicle to the UK with goods to transport?
The UK website says specifically:
"You will need to show that your travel is part of your job, for example a letter from your employer, a consignment note or your operator’s licence."
is this what you have? commonly known as trucker's bum.
But i am going for a medical treatment,not for work reasons.
Then if you are not going for work purposes, your HGV job won't be of any advantage to you.

Then you are subject to the same rules as everyone else. Which means a negative covid test and quarantine on arrival. All the rules are explained here:
