Hi, wanted to see if anyone has swam with Dolphins in the Caymans?
Besides the dolphin discovery I doubt it. They are not native to the area. Most destination experts don't think very highly of the captive dolphin programs. As I do as well.
I do not like them. You are swimming with captive dolphins that live in an area not conducive to their well being IMO. The websites paint a rosy picture but I don't agree with them.
Not sure if they are still there, but there were two dolphins hanging around in the lagoon on the south side of Little Cayman for at least a week in late September. But that was the first time anybody there could remember ever seeing them in lagoon for at least the last ten years. To dive or swim with wild dolphins, the Bahamas are probably your best bet.
