Bring an "air lounge floaty"

We will be staying at CSA,

Is it calm enough to float around on an "air mattress/ float"?

We had been to Riu Tropical Bay a few years ago, and enjoyed floating around. I know that it is pretty calm there most of the time, but I have never stayed on the Seven mile beach part.

Thank you,

MNJulie~

Yes it will be.

Long bay is usually very flat and calm, unless there is rain or a storm out at sea.

Be mindful of not floating too far out in case of the motor boats, some of whom come closer to the shore.

Yes it is calm enough to use them. The water mats are provide to you by CSA. They are on every lounge chair on the beach for you.

Long Bay beach and Bloody Bay beach face the same body of water: the Negril Bay. So when one beach has calm waters they both do. There are no underwater structures that would modify the surfaces of the two beaches.

And remember that you can inflate that air floaty at the scuba hut using compressed air from their pre-filled air tanks.

Use the mats on the loungers provided by Swept Away as food suggested. Don't mess with an inflatable.

As others who have stayed at CSA have said, you don't need to inflate anything at the "scuba hut" and no one at CSA brings any inflatable floats over to it. The lounge chair cushions double as great floats. And no worries about floating out too far at CSA. There are ropes to prevent that--a pair of them in fact so that if by any chance you missed the first, which you won't, you'll be stopped by the second.
