My husband and I are planning a 10 day trip to Punta Cana in February 2021. We have been to Bavaro Beach area in the past and enjoyed it. We are interested in either the Iberostar Grand Bavaro or Barcelo Bavaro Beach (both are adult only all inclusive resorts). We love to walk the beach and enjoy good food and cocktails. Does anyone have any information? Thanks in advance

Well maybe not time travel if you think bigger long term picture

Looked it up TIU is building a SENSATORI Cap Cana supposed to open Nov 2021 this was announced Oct 2020 So looked it up on google maps it shows SENSATORI Cap Cana and Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cap Cana, Both are right next door to Sanctuary Cap Cana on the google maps satillite picture That google picture must be newer because it shows both Hyatt's fully built and Sensatori and the Margaritaville as construction zones .It looks like Little John at Juanillo Beach is getting squeezed out by the big resorts either way Juanillo Beach is going to get really crowded in 2022 a year from now.

To answer the original question Juanillo Beach is a great beach for swimming but no snorkeling as for nature wildlife if you consider a lot of people walking on the beach its really not that big beach. Considering when those 2 are built there will be 6 big resorts on that beach with spaces for at least 1 or 2 more. The beach itself you can walk end to end in 25-30min

Interesting that Margaritaville and Sensatori being built on that side (closer to the road) with Sensatori being closer to the beach (and Little John). Thought this was being built on the opposite side of Sanctuary. In the end, very little hope that Little John would survive and it looks like there is enough room for at least one more resort on the south side of Hyatt Zilara. Will certainly become a busy beach. As for snorkeling, there is an ocean boom protecting the beach in that area so not much other than calm water there.

Margaritaville is well under construction and work being done on it for the last few months , I see no sign of any work being done on a new Sensitori in the area at the moment …..
