I am somewhat perplexed what shoes I buy on board Antarctica ship. Expedition company provides boots when you go on zodiacs. While on ship they advise rubber sole shoes which are slip resistant. I looked at several shoes and cant decide which shoes are best . I don’t want to cary very heavy goretex shoes because these shoes will only be used on ship. I do know that when expedition leader call that they spotted whale, you have to come out quickly. I looked at xtratuf laceless shoes and salesperson says that they use in boats but they are not insulated. On other hand Baffin shoes seems good to me but I do not know how much slip resistance you need but they have laces and may take time to put them on. Kindly give suggestions about which shoes are suggested which are light, quick to wear, may be insulated but I am not sure insulation is necessary.
Thank you
