Mui Ne accommodation

We are looking for a place to stay in Mui Ne / Phan Thiet for 5 days starting 27 or 28th April , but they seem to be booked up for the coming weekend 30th April/1st May.

We prefer a 3 star type place w pool, good for family: 2 adults + kids 7 & 10. Costing around 60USD per night. Can anyone suggest anywhere ?

Thanks

The Ham Tien district of Mui Ne has many resorts along the beachfront and guesthouses across the other side of the road. It is quite common for some of the smaller resorts not to respond to email but as you're from Saigon you are probably using the phone.

Heip Hoa,Thuy Thuy,Austria Vietnam,Suoi Tien,Paris Mui Ne could be worth a try as they are in your range. You can just wing it as when you arrive in Ham Tien from the Coach there will be people waiting to offer accommodation.

To book in advance or not??

Staying at Mui Ne after a wedding in Saigon, end of July 2011. there will be 8 of us needing either 2 rooms for 4 or 4 rooms for 2.Do you think we will be able to turn up or will it be best to book in advance.

Although I have looked around, still undecided as to where to go. Any suggestions for a quiet resort, where we can relax, etc will be appreciated. We are looking for something around between $50 to $75.

Thanks.

Hi Tiana. If you refer to my post No1. the resorts I have mentioned there are all within your budget and have websites. They are all in the best part of the beach area with restaurants all around.

Tiana,

July is the low season so you should be able to find a resort easily. Your budget will even allow you to book one of the four star resorts in the low season (i.e. - Pandanus, Blue Ocean, Phu Hai, Romana, Novotel) as the rates in July are discounted well below the published rates.

If you want a quiet resort, it's best to stay in Phu Hai or Mui Ne rather than Ham Tien where most of the resorts are located. (See the post in the upper right hand corner regarding locations of resorts). The Ham Tien resorts tend to get a lot of street noise or noise from entertainment venues, as they are all near the road and right next to each other.

As for this weekend, almost everyone will be charging published rates as the hotels will all fill up if they are not full yet, so the $60 budget for WilbertCharlie will only work for two to three star resorts.

Did you try Rang Garden? It's brand new so not many people know about it. Like Thuy Thuy it's not on the beach but they have a nice pool.

Thanks to all for your time in replying. Maybe see you in late July/August for a beer.
