ETIAS for Europe

We are Canadian, 3 of us, travelling from YYZ Toronto, to Europe, end of March, going on a cruise ship leaving from Lisbon, Portugal, with ports of call being Morocco, Canary Islands, Spain, ending in Lisbon. Is a Canadian Passport good enough for my husband, adult son & myself? Our 10 yr. passports are good until 2026. Need to know if there's anything else we need as we leave in 6 weeks today. fredward@rogers.com Thank you.

We’re also traveling in March. I could not find a start date for the ETIAS so we should be fine. You can sign up to get email updates on the official ETIAS website.

From the official website

"ETIAS is currently not in operation and will not start in the first half of 2025.

No action is required from travellers at this point.

The European Union will inform about the start of ETIAS several months prior to its launch."

I plan to arrive at the end of April and have no concern.

The ETIAS isn't in operation yet, you don't need to worry about it.

OP - your passports are all you need

All stops are EU except Morocco. Make sure to check what is needed for it.

Canadians don't need a visa for Morocco, just a passport valid for 6 months beyond the day they intend to leave Morocco, which it sounds like the OP has.

The latest information (28 February) on ETIAS news website is

"The EU's EES is set to launch in October 2025 with a 'progressive start' plan, delaying the ETIAS rollout until early 2026"
