Visa Inquiry for Connecting Flights

Hello,

I am a Bangladeshi passport holder with a Finnish residency permit. I have booked two separate tickets for my journey from Helsinki to Dhaka. My first flight is with Pegasus Airlines, traveling from Helsinki to Istanbul and then to Kuwait. For the next leg of my journey, I will be flying with Oman Air from Kuwait to Muscat and finally to Dhaka. I do not have any checked luggage.

I have layovers that are all under three hours. My question is: will I need to obtain a visa to get new boarding passes in Kuwait? Will I face any issues during my journey? I have reached out to several places via phone and email but have not received precise information.

I would really appreciate your help. Thank you!

Your first flight with Pegasus ends in Kuwait. You therefore need to qualify to enter Kuwait. You can get an e-visa here: https://kuwaitvisa.moi.gov.kw/

With no visa you will not be allowed to board your flight in Helsinki You really should have checked before buying and I am guessing your flights are non refundable

"For Bangladeshi citizen E-visa is not available." You then have to apply for a standard Tourist Visa.

This will still cost you less than buying a new set of tickets.

The other option is to check, how much it would cost to change your tickets to fly e.g. via Dubai, therefore change the Istanbul - Kuwait and Kuwait - Muscat legs.

That's a link for the Bangladeshi embassy physically located in Kuwait. The OP is a Bangladeshi citizen, why would they need a visa for their own country? They need a Kuwaiti visa.

Unfortunately, it looks like a Bangladeshi needs a residence permit for one of the GCC countries to get a Kuwaiti visa. I would reach out to the Kuwaiti embassy in Finland.

So your trip is HEL-IST-KWI-MCT-KWI-DHA, you have a through connection with Pegasus from HEL-IST-KWI. Is the rest all on one ticket or are they all separate?

Best enter your precise travel details into Timatic and/or Traveldocs, not a good idea to book such complex routings and not check the entry requirements before booking, TK have connections via IST, an itinerary like that would have been simpler & there are probably other airlines offering either 1 or 2 connection itineraries all on one eticket, even with mixed airlines.

Hello everyone, I want to notify all of you that I completed this trip and didn’t face any problems anywhere. It was a pretty smooth journey. In Kuwait, there is a transfer desk, and they are very helpful.

Yes i travelled only with hand luggage and for this complicated route it’s good to have only hand luggage but after completing this journey i feel that with check-in it is possible. Maybe next time i will travel same route with check-in luggage.
