TA forums would have half the number of posts if it were not for all the OTA's flogging their lousy services to unsuspecting suckers and then they coming on here to complain or warn others. Since carnivals and county fairs have lost popularity all the con-artists have set up websites, travel websites being quite popular.
You only need to read their 1 star reviews to get an idea of what you missed getting yourself into. The 5 star reviews are all fake, by the way.
As advised above, book direct with the airline.
I agree - glad you asked before proceeding or booking. Some archived posts on this forum.

Edited: 2 years agoRecently booked on Oojo.com. Everything went smoothly. I received both e-ticket confirmation and booking number. I was then able to login with that information to the airline’s website to confirm my flight booking and update my personal information; afterwhich I was able to select my seats for the flight. Fare was approximately $50 less than what I could find on other booking sites. I ended up purchasing the Travel Care Service to cover any issues in case of a missed flight or other flight contingencies. Downside is that the insurance does not cover medical costs if incurred on the trip. I did not realize this until I read the fine print.
Why am I suspicious of post 6?!
Booked apparently successfully, but no evidence of flight yet taken, so plenty of opportunity for things to still go wrong between now and flight itself. Never take the insurance these companies offer. As noted, it's of very limited benefit as it's not comprehensive and you can probably get the same type of cover for much less from actual travel insurance providers.

Have you actually fIown yet? Having a booking confirmation means nothing - come back and post your experience after you have fIown.
